The ‘Intercity Theatre Project’

In 2008, this project was performed already for the 3rd time. 24 adolescents coming from 6 ethnic separated towns developed together a theatre play on the theme of drug-prevention, based on experimental education and theatrical pedagogy. From September 2008 till March 2009, they will perform the theatre play in their different communities and on several occasions.

In this project Christian and Muslim young people develop together their ideas and suggestions for life and health promoting conditions and present them to peers and adults in their point of origin. On that way the young people get in contact to each other and become acquainted with people and other cultures in parts of her country which they are barred from because of the ethnic separation. There will be developed a model for joint stake holding by Church related youth organizations and the association NARKO-NE as well as for the volunteer engagement in the society.
