Intercultural Summer-Creative-Weeks

Since summer 2002 we arrange this 4 weeks project for community oriented alternative recreational activities in Vitez, a town in the middle of Bosnia, and since 2005 also in Vares. At a time there are 30 up to 45 local high-school students and 12 -14 students of the Züricher Hochschule der Künste, the Pädagogische Hochschule Zentralschweiz and the Hochschule fuer Sozialarbeit involved. They realize educational activities such as reconditioning of playgrounds and schoolyards, murals to design the health promotional resources, workshops for children, workshop for drama, music, journalism as well as common organization of a public fare well party and public relation. In these two ethnically separated towns till now about 150 local youngsters and 50 Swiss students have acquired remarkable intercultural skills and attitudes.
